For the best results with Magnedure, we recommend a small range of proven products for bonding and fixing the boards as part of the installation. These products have been selected to complement Magnedure and help achieve a strong, secure and straightforward installation. They can also be supplied directly by Build Anatomy alongside your Magnedure sheets.
SabreFix PU Plus 1HR Construction Adhesive
SabreFix PU Plus 1HR is a high-strength, single-component polyurethane construction adhesive suited to a wide range of porous and non-porous building materials. It bonds to timber, concrete and many other common construction substrates, making it a practical adhesive for Magnedure flooring installations.
The moisture-reactive adhesive offers D4 water resistance and a working time of approximately 20 minutes, with the technical data sheet noting a one-hour clamp time at 15–20°C.
Simpson Strong-Tie Flooring Screws
We recommend Simpson Strong-Tie flooring screws for mechanically fixing Magnedure to timber floor framing. The WSV range is purpose-designed for subfloor applications, with a thread and head design developed to provide strong clamping action while reducing installation torque.
The screws are available collated for Simpson Strong-Tie’s Quik Drive® auto-feed system, helping make installation faster and more consistent across larger floor areas. The WSV range is available in 8-gauge lengths from 45 mm to 75 mm, allowing the appropriate fixing to be selected for the particular floor build-up. Simpson Strong-Tie also states that its WSV screw design provides easy starts, a clean countersink and reduced installation torque.
